2009

2009 is a year that carries the promise of being a transitional year, a milestone in change. One thing is for sure, it started with really cold winter weather, which is definitely a difference. Then again, even early in the year some singing birds can deliver you the promise of what soon will be. And if one place is cold, the other one is destined to be warm. But no matter what place you are - warm or not - promise often builds on destruction. I guess there is no point in arguing that we see some solid destruction unfold right now. Enough of that. To come back to birds, nothing better than hearing a blackbird tweet in the early spring. Because before you know it, they have layed their eggs and had their offspring. And even better, before you know it summer has gone, fall has gone and you find yourself back in December, with more snow than you have ever seen, with more uncertainties than ever and a 'slow' blog-item initiative that has not been flying yet (but who knows what next year will bring).
